This can be done natively using XSplit, OBS, or WireCast live encoders. If you are using Flash Media Live Encoder you can use FMLE in combination with a software called ManyCam to achieve this. Here are instructions on how to use ManyCam + FMLE:

  1. Download and install ManyCam from www.manycam.com
  2. Start ManyCam
  3. Start Flash Media Live Encoder (or your choice of live encoder) and select 'Manycam Virtual Webcam' for 'Device' (or 'ManyCam video source' if you see this entry)

You can now use the ManyCam interface to switch live video output to different sources including a playlist of recorded videos residing on your computer.

Note: ManyCam displays a logo in the video output which can be removed by clicking on the 'Effects' tab, selecting 'Text' and deselecting the 'Show Manycam Logo' option.

For Mac computers there is also CamTwist which works similar to ManyCam.
